Light weight and durable Jul 17, 2008 My wife and I dragged this stroller on and off of trains all over Italy. It surprises me every time I pick up a cheapie umbrella stroller at how heavy they are..or rather how light weight the McClaren is.
I actually hiked the Cique Terra trail with this on my back and our baby in a baby Bjorn on my front. Due to the light weight, I had little problem.
We found a second stroller on craigslist so we now each keep one of these in the trunk of our car. I read someone say that the wheels wore out. This is not designed for a jogger or even everyday long walks. I find it's purpose to be as a utility stroller that is compact enough to not take up room in your car...or as we did, lug it on and off of planes and trains.

Great lightweight strollerAug 14, 2007 After taking my 2 1/2-year-old daughter to the fair two weeks ago using our cheapo umbrella stroller ($20) and discovering that baby number two is on the way, I decided it was time to get a better stroller. I had a Graco stroller when my daughter was an infant and it was fine for the time but as she grew older, she didn't like it as much and it was so big and bulky to take anywhere. Both she and I hated the jogging stroller I registered for so the umbrella stroller did the duty for a fraction of the cost.
As time goes on, you discover the items that you wish you would have known about way back when. Enter the Maclaren Volo stroller. This stroller is a parent's dream come true. It is versatile and light-weight with all the important amenities of a full-size stroller yet without the bulk. The handles are so comfortable on my wrists, it has a hood that is removable so I can prevent my daughter from excessive sun exposure and most important of all, the under-the-seat cargo holder for those few items that you pick up along the way while out and about. My daughter loves riding in this stroller and I know I will get at least a minimum of four years of use out of it. There is an optional Universal Organizer for purchase that I am going to get this week to hold bottled water. My only regret is that I didn't purchase this item a year ago.
