Good Stroller, But is Bright Pink!Dec 30, 2008
I bought the Maclaren Quest as a second stroller -my main one is the Silver Cross Micro, which I keep in the car and travel with. Since Maclaren strollers are so ubiquitous, I thought they must be good. I finally bought one for my second baby. The coral pink is actually bright pink! I feel like I am pushing a toy stroller around town because of the bright color! On the other hand, I do receive a lot of positive comments about the stroller as not a lot of people have pink strollers. I did fall in LOVE with the length of the handles (an inch longer than my Silver Cross). However, the wheels are much smaller than the Silver Cross so the Maclaren doesn't push as smoothly -you feel every bump. The stroller is lightweight, compact, and easy to open with one hand. However, my Silver Cross has a more sturdy feeling to it. In addition, I cannot hang any bags on the Maclaren handles (shopping or handbag) because the stroller will tip over with my daughter strapped in. The Silver Cross does not tip over with a few shopping bags or my handbag hanging on the handles -even if my daughter is not in the stroller. All in all this is a good second stroller to have as a spare -not a main stroller.
