 Does not fit non-conventional cribsJul 21, 2008
The product is ok, but it doesn't fit my baby's crib (it has really thick, round horizontal top rails). Also, when you plug in the iPod, the volume is too low.

My son absolutely loves this thing. I do have to say there is one down side to this. If you have a sleigh crib with the back that curves not the sides. You have to put this on the side where you let your bar up and down. Not only does it look tacky but it's not functional there. Also, sometimes you have to tap it a little hard to get it to turn on again (with new batteries). But my son loves to watch this so I would have to say all in all it's worth the money.

Our seven-week-old loves this. First, the visuals are hypnotic (at least to her). She loves watching the display cycle through the four seasons and the effect seems to soothe her.
The volume on the built-in music that comes with this is on the loud side, I guess, but everything I've ever read has told me that babies are used to noise (womb noise is louder than a vacuum cleaner) so I never thought it would keep our little one from falling asleep - and it hasn't.
Meanwhile, the MP3 feature is very cool, and I made a special mix on my iPod just for our baby to listen to as she falls asleep. When you use your own MP3 player or iPod, you can adjust the volume as high or low as you'd like it because the volume on your device controls the volume on the toy.
I think other parents (and babies) would enjoy this product.

I LOVED this when I saw it online (and loved the idea you can connect an MP3 player to it, although we dont have one as yet) and quickly ordered it online and was really excited when it arrived. That was UNTIL I installed it and turned it on ready to take my wee one into dreamland. OMG he nearly jumped out of his skin! The volume on it is WAY too loud for its intention, to help soothe to sleep. I have many different toys for a similar purpose, the best of which have volume control or at least two different volumes. I did manage to put some invisible tape over the speaker which did help but shouldnt have had to! Very bad design fault on an awesome product, from one of my fav brands. Still giving it four stars tho because it is awesome with the volume made more acceptable for baby to fall asleep too!

I love this product! My daughter loves it too. She would not sleep in her crib until we got this. I lay her down in her crib now and she watches it until she falls asleep. My only problem was I had to take off the bumper in her crib because it wouldn't fit. Once she gets bigger and I lower the mattress it will fit fine with the bumper on the crib.
